When you walk through the door of Shillingstone School you will know immediately that this is a caring and inclusive school where everybody feels welcome.
With strong staff parent partnerships and a varied and engaging curriculum, children are motivated to achieve their full potential.
When pupils leave the school, it is with happy memories of their primary education and an enthusiasm for future learning.
The votes were counted earlier in the week revealing that Henry, Year 3, had been chosen to be our Prime Minster for the Day!
Henry had chosen for the children (and staff!) to have a comfy day, coming to school in their pyjamas. The children were also allowed to bring in their own toys and electronic games which they played with during their extended golden time. The most exciting part of the day was the lunch disco which was held in our Atrium.
Well done Henry, we all agree you were a fantastic Prime Minister!
British Values Week
Who will win the election to become Shillingstone Primary School’s Prime Minister for the day?
It is our British Values week this week and children have been learning about democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect and tolerance of different faiths and beliefs.
Children have put themselves forward and canvassing to become Prime Minister for the day, which will be on Friday 25th November. Candidates have been posting their ideas around the school on posters and fliers to try and win votes. The children have thought of some interesting ideas, to put into place if they win the election, such as non-school uniform and extra Golden Time.
Children have cast their votes today in our polling station. We look forward to finding out who has won the vote to become Prime minister for the day!
Lots of the children are achieving certificates on Mathletics. These are the achievements just from this last week! Well done to you all and keep it up.
