Hi, I'm Gemma Ryan and I joined the school in February 2017. I work as a 1:1 teaching assistant in Ocean Class. Before joining the team at Shillingstone, I worked in a SEN school in various roles for nearly six years. I am part of a large extended family. I do not currently have any children but would like to have some in the future. I have many hobbies outside of school: I really enjoy baking yummy treats; reading pretty much anything; going to the cinema; taking photos as reminders of amazing days out; listening to music and going on road trips to music festivals.
Hi, my name is Michelle Lowe. I joined the team at Shillingstone in September 2014 and was working as a 1:1 teaching assistant in Woodland Class. Since September 2016, I have been working in Jungle Class, supporting the Reception children in our school. Before joining Shillingstone, I previously worked as a teaching assistant in Blandford and have always thoroughly enjoyed working with children, watching them grow and develop over the years. I live in Blandford with my husband and two children, both of which are now in High School. Outside of school, I enjoy baking, cycling and spending time with my family.
I have been working at Shillingstone Primary School since 2004, across all classes. Both my daughters attended the school and my eldest has become a teacher herself. As well as working in Woodland Class, I help to run the breakfast club. Outside of school, I enjoy walking, cooking, gardening and reading a good book.
Hello! My name is Sally Moseley. I work in Desert Class as a 1:1 teaching assistant, which is a role I very much enjoy. I joined Shillingstone School in September 2008, when I started in Class 3 (with Year 3 & 4 children). I have 3 children who spent their primary years at this school, one of whom has Special Needs. My outside interests include gardening, sports, cross stitch and walking my dog.
I have been working as a Teaching Assistant here at Shillingstone Primary School since 1997, some of it in Class 3, more recently in Class 4 and now in Class 2. As well as supporting the children in Woodland Class, I am also one of the ELSAs (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant) in the school. As I live in the village, many years before I was a pupil of the school myself and later my four children also attended Shillingstone School. My eldest grandson has just left Shillingstone Primary and is now at High School but his two younger brothers are still here, one in Ocean Class and the other in Woodland Class. As you can see Shillingstone School has been part of my life for many years with many happy memories. My interests include: walking the dog, cycling, keeping fit and playing with my grandchildren.
I moved to Shillingstone with my family in 2010 and joined the school in March 2011. I work as a teaching assistant, currently in Ocean and Desert Class and I am a member of the PTA. I have recently trained as an ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant). My youngest daughter attended the school and is now attending Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form in Wimborne. Shillingstone Primary is a fabulous place to be, especially with the wonderful views we have here! I like anything arty! Outside of school, I enjoy baking and decorating cakes, cycling, walking my dog with my family and doing cross-stitch.
