Our learners of the week this week are Gracie and Bella. They domonstrated that they had learnt and understood their first aid training classes by acting out a rescue during their playtime! Together they remembered how to help somebody that is hurt and how to put somebody in the recovery position. Well done Bella and Gracie!
Our learners of the week are the whole of Woodland Class! On Tuesday we went to William Barnes School to take part in a Runaround Rounders festival with other local schools. The children were incredibly well behaved and listened carefully to instructions that they were given. I was also very impressed at their sportmanship - congratulating other children when they scored a rounder. Well done Woodland Class!
Year 3: Our year 3 learner of the week is Hazel. I have been really impressed with her maths this week. This has been during our fraction lessons but also when doing extra maths work with me. She has worked incredibly hard and produced brilliant work, well done.
Our other year 3 learner of the week is Jessica. Jessica has completed lots of extra maths work with me this week looking at addition and subtraction. She produced excellent work and I really noticed the difference in her confidence from a few months ago. Well done Jess!
Year 4: Our year 4 learner of the week is Olivia. Olivia has been a real ‘Persevering Parrot’ this week in maths. In all maths lessons, Olivia has worked incredibly hard to understand the fractions work and has been determined to work up the learning ladder. Well done.
Year 5: Albie is our learner of the week. Albie was focussed and engaged in the writing task that the children were set this week, showing skills of a 'Persevering Parrot'. I was really impressed with the content of Albie's writing; he thought carefully about the structure of his sentences and details included. Well done Albie.
Year 6: Zoe is our learner of the week and has shown she is a 'Have a Go' Gorilla. Zoe has shown great dedication to her maths learning and it is really paying off. She has achieved well in our lessons this week with some very tricky measures work. Well done Zoe.
