Learners of the Week

Jungle

This week our learner of the week is Layton. Layton worked really hard to draw a very scary picture of a Troll. He then showed a real have a go attitude by selecting the sounds he needed to write a word to describe him. Well done Layton!

Woodland

Year 1: This week Megan is our learner of the week. Magan can always be relied upon to 'have a go' at any activity we give her. If she finds it a little challenging, she perseveres and always tries her best. Well done Megan!

Year 2: Our learner of the week is Barnaby. I have been impressed with Barnaby’s attitude towards his maths this week. He has persevered when he’s found things difficult and as a result has produced some great work. Well done Barnaby!

Ocean

Our learners of the week are Hollie (year 4), Gracie and Verity (year 3). They have been chosen due to their excellent teamwork. They worked extremely hard together to write two verses of a rap poem which had excellent rhythm. They then worked together to rehearse and perform their poem with clarity and in unison. Well done girls!

Desert

Year 5: Alfie is our learner of the week. In Science, this week Alfie showed a great attitude and really had a go at the task set. He looked at the lizards carefully and considered why they were best suited to different environments. Well done Alfie!

Year 6: Zoe is our learner of the week. Zoe has shown great perseverance this week with her maths. She has shown a good understanding of factors, prime numbers, composite numbers and prime factors. Well done Zoe!

Jungle

Our learner of the week is Gracie. Gracie has been working very hard this week with her number work. She has been trying hard and showing us a real "have a go" attitude towards her learning. Gracie has been solving number problems and adding 1 more to a number to 10. It is really good to see all of her hard work paying off. Well done Gracie!

Woodland

Year 1: This week Elinor is our learner of the week. Elinor has worked really hard on her writing this week. She has been willing to 'have a go' and has persevered when she found it difficult. Keep up the hard work Elinor!

Year 2: Our learner of the week is Harvey-Jo. I have been very impressed with Harvey-Jo's 'have a go' attitude across all areas of the curriculum. Well done Harvey-Jo!

Ocean

Year 3: Our Year 3 learner of the week is Hazel. Earlier in the week, some of the key stage 2 children had a hockey lesson. During this, Hazel went in goal against three year 6 boys. I was so impressed that she was up for the challenge and really ‘gave it a go.’ What a fantastic example she set for the other children. Well done Hazel!

Year 4: Our Year 4 learner of the week is Olivia. I have been really impressed with Olivia’s writing this week. She has worked incredibly hard to include everything that I have asked of her. She has ‘given everything a go’ and not been afraid to get it wrong. Well done!

Desert

Year 5: 

Eve is our learner of the week. In our computing lesson, she was hesitant to work by herself but she had a go. Eve, this was good to see and you learned new skills in doing so. Well done!

Busy is also learner of the week. Busy has made good progress in our maths lessons this week, learning about percentages. She was observed explaining to her peers how to work out an answer which was supportive. Well done Busy.

Year 6: Alfie is our learner of the week. He has achieved really well in our maths lessons this week, showing a good understanding of percentages. Alfie was willing to have a go at the greater depth task to extend his learning further. Well done Alfie!

Jungle Class

Our learner of the week is Gracie. Gracie has been working very hard with her nuber work this week. She is showing a real "Have a go" attitude towards her learning. Gracie has been able to solve number problems and is now confident when adding 1 more to a number to 10 and beyond. It is really great to see all of her hard work paying off. Well done Gracie!

Woodland Class

Year 1: This week Thomas is our learner of the week. Thomas is always willing to 'have a go' and is beginning to understand that he might not get it right first time. Keep up the hard work Thomas!

Year 2: Our learner of the week is Eli. I was so impressed with your independent writing this morning. You persevered and 'had a go' and have produced some brilliant writing. Well done Eli!

Ocean Class

Year 3: Our Year 3 learner of the week is Aksharan. Aksharan is always up for a challenge and will ‘give everything a go.’ He understands that he may not find the correct answer to begin with but tries anyway. No challenge fazes him! Well done Aksharan.

Year 4: Our Year 4 learner of the week is Henry. Henry always ‘gives it a go.’ Whatever challenge may face him, he consistently tries his best and strives to find the solution. Well done Henry, you set an excellent example!

Desert Class

Year 5: Darcey is our learner of the week. She has shown good reciprocity skills in class, assisting her peers when they were finding something tricky. Thank you Darcey for being so supportive. Well done!

Year 6: Aiden is our learner of the week. Aiden has shown great perseverance this week with his writing. He has edited and improved his writing based on The Piano. He has started writing up his final version in his Wow Write book and will finish this next week. Well done Aiden - you have produced fantastic piece of writing.

Jungle

Our learner of the week this week is Bella. Bella has been working really hard with her numbers and showed great perserverance when completing a task. She even helped a friend to complete theirs showing that she sees herself as part of a helpful Jungle Class Team. Well done Bella.

Woodland

Year 1: This week Nathan is our learner of the week. I have been very impressed with Nathan's attitude towards his learning this week. He perseveres when the task is challenging and has been working well with his talk partner this week. Well done Nathan!

Year 2:Our learner of the week is Charlie. Charlie has come back to school, after the Christmas break, with such a positive attitude towards his learning across all areas of the curriculum. Keep up the hard work Charlie!

Ocean

Year 3:  Our Year 3 learner of the week is Daisy. Daisy has been given some challenging maths tasks this week and she has shown great determination and perseverance. I have been so impressed with her attitude towards her work, well done Daisy!  

Year 4: Our Year 4 learner of the week is Nathan. Nathan has worked incredibly hard in maths this week, both in class and with Mrs Proyer. He has shown great determination and perseverance towards tasks and produced some excellent work as a result. Well done Nathan.

Desert

Year 5: Georgia is our learner of the week. We have been focussing on measures which the year 5s have found particularly challenging. Gerogia has worked hard in our maths lessons this week and shown good perseverance to complete the task set. Well done Georgia.

Year 6: Our learner of the week is Alfie. In Literacy, we have been writing a narrative with flashbacks, based on The Piano. Alfie has worked hard on his writing this week, really focussing in lessons to achieve all of the aspects on his learning ladder. Well done Alfie.
