Reception: Our Learner of the Week is Charlie. Charlie loves writing. He will happily spend all afternoon writing on our large white board. He has made excellent progress. Well done Charlie!
Year 1: Learner of the week is Sam. Sam has made a great effort in all areas and has impressed us with the way he has worked with other children and really tried his hardest. Well done Sam!
Year 2: Learner of the week is Sophia for her contributions to Literacy and for working well in pairs and groups in Literacy and Maths this week.
Year 3: Megan has been chosen as learner of the week for working with lots of different messy materials to create a variety of African artwork. Great work!
Year 4: Emily has been chosen as learner of the week for her fantastic Kenyan bead necklace. She worked hard at copying the traditional patterns and took care over where to place the beads. Well done!
Year 5: Jake is our Learner of the Week in Year 5! During the trip to Streetwise on Tuesday Jake was extremely patient and helpful to the younger children, in Year 2. Also, yesterday for our transition day Jake was very supportive to the new Year 5 children who visited Class 4 for the day. Well done Jake, this was lovely to see!
Year 6: In Year 6, Francis is Learner of the Week for working really hard at Sturminster High School this morning during our I.C.T session. Francis was focussed and on task, producing work to be proud of. Well done Francis!
Reception: Learner of the Week is Alfie. Alfie has worked very hard this week. He was a Mini beast detective! He had to write clues to describe a Mini beast. He wrote clues to describe a Lady bird. He tried very hard to hear the sounds in the words. Well done Alfie!
Year 1: Learner of the Week is Henry. Henry has impressed us with his enthusiasm for his work which he always completes to a high standard and also for his behaviour which is exemplary!
Year 2: Learner of the Week is Harrison. Harrison has shown a real flair for language during our work on poetry. In particular, he created a fantastic 'word wave' which was his own idea of combining words and pictures for a poem.
Year 3: Learner of the Week is Thomas for working really hard on reading and making excellent progress! Well done!
Year 4: Learner of the Week is Harvey for making thoughtful contributions to class discussions based on the theme of Anti-Bullying. Well done!
Year 5: Cerys is Learner of the Week for working really hard on her anti-bullying poem. She chose to write her poem all by herself and did so brilliantly. Well done Cerys!
Year 6: Joy is Learner of the Week for her superb reading. She has been working hard on her reading this year and is doing so well! Joy should be really proud of how much she has improved!

Year 1: Tom M is Learner of the Week for his work in Numeracy. We have been learning about weight this week in class and Tom has achieved really well! He presented his work neatly and completed his task accurately. Well done Tom!
Year 2: Ryan is Learner of the Week for his work in Letters and Sounds sessions. Mrs Long tells us that Ryan had been trying really hard in these sessions to sound out words and to recognise his sounds. Great work Ryan!

Year 5: Lily is Learner of the Week. The presentation of her work is always superb! She writes neatly with joined handwriting and has been working hard to improve the organisation of her work. Well done Lily!
Year 6: Elizabeth is Learner of the Week. She has been working hard to improve her spellings and has achieved full marks in her spelling test this week. Great effort!
Reception: Emma is our Learner of the Week for writing three sentences about what we do if we hurt ourselves. Great writing Emma!
Year 1: Thomas C has worked really hard in Numeracy when we were learning about measuring using metres, centimetres and millimetres. He was able to measure accurately and gained confidence over the week.
Year 2: Katie has shown great interest in our Greek topic work this week. She was able to use her knowledge in writing a passage which included headings and subheadings with relevant content.
Year 3: James is Learner of the Week for his amazing handwriting! James has been working really hard at home and in school to improve his handwriting and the hard work has paid off. Well done James!
Year 4: Ethan has shown excellent understanding this week of time in Numeracy lessons. He is confident with this area of maths which is great to see! Keep it up Ethan.
Year 5: Charlotte is our learner of the week. Charlotte is a lovely member of the class who is so helpful and kind to adults and children alike. She works hard across all subjects and can be relied upon alwaysto try her very best. Well done Charlotte!
