Learners of the Week

Parrot Class

Our Learner of the week is Lucas. Lucas always works hard in class and in particular he has put lots of effort into learning his sounds and using them in his writing. This week we have been retelling the story 'Shine little firefly', Lucas was able to order the pictures and write a word to match each picture. He thought very carefully about the sounds he could hear and wrote down the letters very carefully.   Well done Lucas, keep up the fantastic work.

Kingfisher Class

Miss Dixon could not choose just one learner of the week this week so we have two! Everyone worked really hard during our Big Writing, but Katie and Phoebe were magnificent! They did some wonderful talking homework and used their ideas in their firework writing.  Well done both of you.

Falcon Class

Abigail is our Learner of the Week.  She has started to put her hand up in class to ask and answer questions, showing us that she is keen to learn and enjoys taking part in our lessons.  Well done Abigail :)  Keep it up!!

Becky acted the part of Sita fantastically and when she was asked questions about her character she showed that she had really remembered what happened in the story. During choosing time Becky also chose to carry on the learning we had been doing by dressing up and acting out the story herself.

Parrot Class

As the class have been working so hard this week we found it difficult to choose just one Learner of the Week. So this week we have choosen Kara and Aiden.

We are really pleased with how Kara's independence has grown since she joined Parrot Class. She as worked really hard on learning her sounds and this week she helped make some lovely biscuits for our teddy bears picnic. She plays happily with her friends at break time and lunchtime and is becoming more confident at trying new things.

Aiden was fantastic in our football session this week. He came up with some great ideas for different ways of moving from space to space. When he was an alien defending different countries, he listened brilliantly to the instructions and moved skillfully to defend as many countries as possible.

Kingfisher Class

Our learner of the week this week is Charley. Charley has been working so hard on improving her writing, especially her handwriting. Not only has she been working hard in school, but she has also been practising at home too. Well done Charley for working so hard, it has really paid off. Keep it up!

Our learner of the week is Katie. Katie is leaving our school today, but has had a fantastic time so far this year as a year 6. She has been working really hard and putting so much effort into everything she does. Good luck at your new school Katie, we will all miss you.

Parrot Class

This week our learner of the week is Eddie. We have been looking at the story Peace at Last and we made a storyboard about the story using symbols and pictures. Then we had to think of actions to go with the symbols. Eddie was fantastic at thinking of actions and when we came to retell the story from our storyboard Eddie could remember all the words and actions, and helped us to remember what we had to say next.  What an expert story teller you are Eddie.  Well done.

Kingfisher Class

Our Learner of the Week this week is Tom Mills. We have all been so impressed with what a good Kingfisher he is. He is enthusiastic and working well with the other children in the class. A brilliant start to the year Tom! Well done and keep it up.
