Learners of the Week

Parrot Class

Our Learner of the Week is Becky. We have been learning about the festval of Divali. We read and acted out the story of Rama and Sita. Becky acted the part of Sita fantastically and when she was asked questions about her character she showed that she had really remembered what happened in the story. During choosing time Becky also chose to carry on the learning we had been doing by dressing up and acting out the story herself.

Kingfisher Class

Our Learner of the Week this week is Keeley. She has worked so hard to improve her handwriting and always tries so hard. Well done Keeley, Keep it up!

Falcon Class

Our Learner of the Week this week is Felix. The class were asked to write instructions for how to make a Sarcophagus. Felix's wrote fantastic instructions  that were clear and well ordered. Well done Felix, keep up the great work.

Owl Class

In Owl class, Learner of the Week is Izzy.Izzy can be relied on in class to always work hard and try her best. She produced some lovely writing about her holidays, thinking carefully about how to use commas in her sentences. Well done Izzy.

 

Parrot Class

As the class have been working so hard this week we found it difficult to choose just one Learner of the Week. So this week we have choosen Kara and Aiden. 

We are really pleased with how Kara's independence has grown since she joined Parrot Class. She as worked really hard on learning her sounds and this week she helped make some lovely biscuits for our teddy bears picnic. She plays happily with her friends at break time and lunchtime and is becoming more confident at trying new things. 

Aiden was fantastic in our football session this week. He came up with some great ideas for different ways of moving from space to space. When he was an alien defending different countries, he listened brilliantly to the instructions and moved skillfully to defend as many countries as possible.

 

Kingfisher Class

Our learner of the week this week is Charley. Charley has been working so hard on improving her writing, especially her handwriting. Not only has she been working hard in school, but she has also been practising at home too. Well done Charley for working so hard, it has really paid off. Keep it up!

Falcon Class

Falcon class have had a brilliant week with our trip to the Tutankhamun Exhibition in Dorchester. All of the children learnt a lot about Tutankhamun but, William was fantastic at asking and answering questions so, he has been chosen as our Learner of the Week. Well done William! :)

Owl Class

Our learner of the week is Katie. Katie is leaving our school today, but has had a fantastic time so far this year as a year 6. She has been working really hard and putting so much effort into everything she does. Good luck at your new school Katie, we will all miss you.

Parrot Class

This week our learner of the week is Eddie. We have been looking at the story Peace at Last and we made a storyboard about the story using symbols and pictures. Then we had to think of actions to go with the symbols. Eddie was fantastic at thinking of actions and when we came to retell the story from our storyboard Eddie could remember all the words and actions, and helped us to remember what we had to say next.  What an expert story teller you are Eddie.  Well done.

Kingfisher Class

Our Learner of the Week this week is Tom Mills. We have all been so impressed with what a good Kingfisher he is. He is enthusiastic and working well with the other children in the class. A brilliant start to the year Tom! Well done and keep it up.

Falcon Class

Jasmine is learner of the week for Falcon Class.  We feel Jasmine should be recognised for always working hard and trying her best.  She takes part in all lessons with enthusiasm and has brought in artefacts from home based on our topic Ancient Egypt.  Well done Jasmine keep it up!

Owl Class

In Owl class, Learner of the Week is Lucy. For Literacy homework this week, the children were asked to write a playscript linked to The Wind in the Willows. Lucy's homework displayed exceptional quality with a range of punctuation used accurately throughout the text. The content and vocabulary used was imaginative. Well done Lucy, it is a piece of writing to be really proud of!

Parrot Class

Our Learner of the week is Tyler-Rhys. This week we have been looking at the story 'Where's my teddy?' and Tyler-Rhys has been so enthusiastic about all the work we have done. He came up some brilliant ideas during our search around school looking for a home for a bear and he was a very convincing bear whilst wearing his bear mask. He also choose to make a model bear home and worked for such a long time to make it exactly how he wanted it be, whilst thinking about why it would be good for a bear to live in. Well done Tyler-Rhys it has been lovely to see you enjoying doing all these different things.

Kingfisher Class

Our Learner of the week this week is Noah. He has worked so hard in our football sessions with John Scott. He listens to instructions and always follows them. He also comes up with some really good answers to the questions John Scott asks. Brilliant Noah, well done.

Falcon Class

Learner of the week for Falcon Class is Felix. We have all been working really hard with writing stories and using our target cards to improve our writing. Felix has met two targets this week and has been given a new writing target. Fantastic Felix!

Owl Class

In Owl Class, Learner of the week is Archie. He has become really focussed as a Year 6 and is working hard across all lessons and on his homework. In addition to this, Archie is extremely helpful to adults in the classroom and has been observed being really kind towards his peers this week. Well done Archie, there are so many good things to report on this week! Keep it up.
