This week Alfie is our learner of the week.· Alfie has settled into Parrot Class really well, as well as always being smiley, he is thoughtful and helpful too.· During one particular morning this week we were making binoculars for our 'Bear Hunt'.· Once Alfie had mastered the skill of cutting the masking tape he then made it his job to help others.· Well done Alfie for being so kind and thoughtful.
I am so impressed with the way Kingfishers have returned to school after the holidays. Their attitudes are so good and they are all so keen to learn. But our learner of the week is a boy who has been working really hard at home too. Finn has been practising so hard over the holidays and is now a fantastic reader and his writing has really improved too. Well done Finn, keep it up!
This week our learner of the week is Joanne. We recently sent a team to take part in a schools hockey tournament. Unfortunately some of the other teams had been unable to find enough players and would have struggled to take part. Joanne very kindly offered to help out one of these teams and volunteered to play for them instead. Well done Joanne for not only playing fantastically, but for showing the real meaning of team spirit.
Owl Class have been working really hard in school and also at home! Our Learner of the Week is Joy. She has produced some fantastic pieces of homework this week, in particular her Literacy. The children were asked to write a conversation between Mole and Ratty from Wind in the Willows and use speech conventions accurately. Joy listened carefully in class and applied these strategies to her own writing brilliantly. Well done Joy, you worked really hard on your homework!
We have had another busy week in Parrot Class and this weeks Learner of the week is Tom. Tom has worked hard in lots of different ways but in particular he has given some fantastic ideas during whole class work. He helped us to remember all the things we need to do on the carpet during circle time and he suggested using the word 'gigantic' for our own class story about the 'gigantic carrot'. Well done Tom.
We have been working hard all week on our Superhero topic. Our learner of the week is Abigail because she has worked especially hard during all our topic lessons. She even asked to carry on with her Superhero design after she had finished her Eliot Jones character profile. Well done Abigail for trying so hard.
Oliver has been chosen as learner of the week for working really hard on creating an Egyptian death mask for a Pharoah. He worked with lots of care and took his time to make it a piece of work to be proud of. Well done Olly!
In Owl Class, Learner of the Week is Chloe, Ellie and Charlotte. We had a visit from King Henry VIII today and all of the children had a fantastic time! The children had a jousting tournament and Chloe, Ellie and Charlotte were the champions! Well done girls, excellent jousting skills!!
