Kingfisher Class

Our Learner of the Week this week is Leah. In our Big Write writing this week we looked at the painting ‘Tiger in a Tropical Storm’ by Henri Rousseau. We pretended we were in the painting and wrote about it. Leah worked really hard with her writing and wanted to share it in our class assembly. Well done Leah!

Falcon Class

For our topic, the class are learning about World War II and for homework last week they had to write reply letters, as mum, back to Carrie or Nick who were evacuees. Alfie wrote a fantastic letter, meeting all of his success criteria, which he then read to the class. He has also been trying really hard with his maths in class. Well done!

Owl Class

Learner of the Week is Sophie-Louise. Sophie has been working really hard in class and at home. Her writing and Numeracy is really improving. She listens to advice given and works hard to meet her targets. Her homework is always completed well. Well done Sophie!

Parrot Class

Our Learner of the week is Tyler-Rhys. During our Big Talk, Tyler-Rhys had a great suggestion of an alternative breakfast for the Three Bears. He said, "they would like sweetcorn. They like it."

Kingfisher Class

Learner of week is Liam. We are writing our own book on 'amazing animals' and this week we have been really busy researching amazing facts. Liam worked independently today to write his own pages for his book. He produced a great piece of work. Well done Liam!

Falcon Class

Our learner of the week is Jasmine.  We have been reading the story of Carrie's War.  Jasmine wrote a wonderful letter in the role of Carrie to Mum recounting her journey as an evacuee and describing her new home.  Jasmine used some great descriptive language in her letter and WOWed us all! 

Owl Class

In Owl class, Learner of the Week is Louis. Louis has produced several pieces of fantastic homework this week. It was clear that he had put in a lot of effort and he had presented his homework beautifully. Well done Louis and keep up the good work!

Parrot Class

Eddie confidently read clues during our Gingerbread Man Treasure Hunt. Well done Eddie!

Kingfisher Class

Our learner of the week is Lily.  She has worked really hard in Numeracy adding double numbers.  Well done Lily!

Falcon Class

Our Learner of the Week is Ethan because he has been so keen and enthusistic with his maths work on place value, that he did extra work of his own choice at lunchtime!  Keep up the hard work Ethan!

Owl Class

In Owl class, Learner of the week is James. He has been working really hard to work faster in class and achieved really well on a reading paper this week. Well done James!



Parrot Class

Tom is our learner of the week for excellent work when writing a sentence about the tank he got for Christmas. He used his knowledge of letter sounds to write "I got a tank." Well done Tom.

Kingfisher Class

Our learner of the week this week is Maemi. We were so lucky this morning to have a visit from the ‘Explorer Dome.’ We had an amazing time exploring space and the constellations. Maemi was fantastic and asked lots of interesting questions, she also tried really hard to give good answers. What a fantastic start to the year!

Falcon Class

Joanne is our learner of the week for her exceptional attitude to her work coming back after the Christmas holidays.  Joanne was enthusiastic to share her new books and completed a fantastic piece of writing.  Well done!

Owl Class

Learner of the week is Jake. Jake has been working really hard on his handwriting and has really shown improvement! His letters are now joined beautifully. Well done Jake. Keep up the good work.
