Year 1: This week Elliot is our learner of the week. Elliot has been working very hard on his spellings this term, both in school and at home. Keep up the hard work Elliot!
Year 2: Our learner of the week is Susie. I was very impressed by Susie's performance in the nativity this week. It was clear that she had worked hard to learn her lines and, as a result, was confident and clear. Well done Susie!
Year 3: Our Year 3 learner of the week is Verity. Verity showed an amazing amount of determination and perseverance this week during our sewing sessions. Verity worked hard throughout the whole day; she tried incredibly hard to practise all of the skills learnt including needle threading!
Year 4: Our Year 4 learner of the week is Joshua. Joshua produced an amazing piece of handwriting this week whilst working with Mrs Proyer. He persevered with his joining skills and the end result was fantastic, well done Joshua!
Year 5: Ava is our learner of the week. She has worked really hard in our maths lessons this week and shown good perseverance to complete the task set. Ava has worked up the learning ladder in our lessons, demonstrating an excellent understanding of the relationship between fractions and decimals. Well done Ava!
Year 6: Our learner of the week is Will. Will always works hard in lessons and is focussed on the tasks set. He always strives to achieve his very best, working hard to complete the greater depth tasks. Keep this up Will!
Year 1: This week Tianna is our learner of the week. Tianna worked really hard on her WOW write this morning. She managed to finish all her sentences and didn't give up. Well done!
Year 2: Our learner of the week is Jack. I was very impressed with your independent writing this morning. You thought craefully about your sentences and persevered when you found it difficult. Well done Jack!
Year 3: Our Year 3 learner of the week is Ryan. Ryan has had a brilliant week! He was worked really hard during independent tasks as well as listening carefully on the carpet. I was particularly impressed with Ryan’s maths on Wednesday; he nearly got to the top of the learning ladder! Well done Ryan!
Year 4: Our Year 4 learner of the week is Bobbie. Bobbie has fantastic teamwork skills which can be seen across all areas of the curriculum. In PE this week, these skills were really seen whilst the children were creating their own team games. Bobbie sets an excellent example to others ensuring that all members of the team are able to share their ideas. Well done Bobbie.
Year 5: Olivia is our learner of the week. Since being in Year 5, her writing has really improved. She is showing a good understanding of parenthesis and is using it accurately in her independent writing. Olivia works really hard to always produce the best writing she can. Well done Olivia.
Year 6: Our learner of the week is Ben. Ben has been a great learning buddy to Thomas this week, making lots of effort to engage him in class activities. When asked to collect the i-pads together, Ben was heard encouraging Thomas to count them. Thank you for supporting Thomas in his learning – you have shown great reciprocity Ben.
Our learner of the week is Isla. She has had a fantastic week in Jungle Class and has been working so hard in lots areas. Isla has really preserved with learning her sounds and is now beginning to have a go at reading and writing words. She has supported her friends with their learning and was fantastic at working with her group to make cakes for our Team Challenge. Well done Isla.
Year 1: This week Seth is our learner of the week. Seth has been working really hard on his letter fromation and is now self correcting his own writing. Well done Seth!
Year 2: Our learner of the week is George. I was very impressed with how well you worked with your group during Science this week. You listened to other members of your group and helped those that needed support. Well done George!
Year 3: Our Year 3 learner of the week is Antonia. Antonia has been chosen due to her amazing teamwork skills whilst working with her learning buddy. She has made sure that her learning buddy was clear on the task, helped him to get resources ready as well as explaining instructions to him. Well done Antonia.
Year 4: Our Year 4 learner of the week is Sammy. I was so impressed with Sammy during the sponsored PE event this week. Even though this was not a team event, he showed fantastic teamwork skills during this event by working with one of the younger children. Sammy encouraged his partner and continually checked that he was ok. This was lovely to see Sammy, well done!
Year 6: Our learner of the week is Dexter. In our Literacy lessons this week, Dexter has been working hard to write a good quality formal letter. Mrs Vail has been working alongside Dexter, prompting and trying to extend his ideas further. You have focussed well Dexter. Well done.
Reception: Congratulations Jacob, you are our Learner of the week this week. You are brilliant at working in a team or a group and you are always very kind to the other children in your group. Well done - A brilliant team member!
Year 1: This week Rosie is our learner of the week. Rosie has shown great perseverance with her WOW write this morning. Not only did she finish her story, she then read through her work to make sure she had remembered all her full stops. Well done Rosie!
Year 2: Our learner of the week is Jai. What an amazing story you wrote this morning about The 3 Little Pigs. When you found things difficult, you didn't give up. Well done Jai!
Year 3: Our Year 3 learner of the week is Jenson. Jenson has worked incredibly hard this week on his handwriting. He has persevered to make sure that it is always neat and joined correctly and made his way up towards the moon on our handwriting display. Well done Jenson!
Year 4: Our Year 4 learner of the week is Sam. I was so impressed with Sam during our PE lesson this week where the children had to create their own games. His teamwork skills were fantastic! Sam listened carefully to others and making sure the whole team were included. Well done Sam!
Year 5: Thomas is our learner of the week. He was set a sequencing task using Mathletics and really had to persevere to complete the task. Well done Thomas.
Year 6: Our learner of the week is Eddie. In our maths lesson this week, a Year 6 child had one of their calculations marked green as they had made an error. Eddie was walking past and looked through this child’s calculation with them to work out where the error had been made. This was great teamwork. Well done Eddie.
