Year 1: Our learner of the week is Jessica. Jessica is always hard working in class and really tries her best. Well done Jessica!
Year 2: Our learner of the week is Ryan. Ryan has made huge improvements in his Writing recently. Well done Ryan!
Year 3: This week our Year 3 learner of the week is Alfie. It has been really lovely over the last few weeks to watch Alfie growing in confidence. He has made a new friend, is enjoying making a mess and sharing his ideas!
Year 4: Congratulations to Tom who is our Year 4 learner of the week. Every morning I see Tom before breakfast club and ask him how he is. Every day, Tom always takes the time to then ask me how I am, so polite!
Year 5: Our learner of the week is Adam. Adam is coming into school with a smile on his face and with a positive attitude towards school. He is working really hard in class and puting 100% effort into everything he is asked to do. I am so pleased Adam. Well done!
Year 6: Our learner of the week is Ryan. Ryan amazed me in class today when he came to me to show me his writing in our RE lesson. He had written a really good response to the letter with lots of details included, showing an excellent understanding of this work. Amazing writing, Ryan! Keep this up.
Reception: Our Learner of the week is Jack. We have been really pleased with the positive attitude that Jack has been showing with his writing. Today he wrote a fantastic story based on the book Dear Zoo. He worked so hard by himself to write sentences and remembered to how to spell lots of tricky words. Well done Jack.
The whole of Woodland class are learners of the week! All of the children took part in a 'Run Around Rounders' tournament with other local primary school on Tuesday this week. They were fantastic; working as a team and behaved superbly. Well done to you all!
Year 3: This week our Year 3 learner of the week is Izzy Baines. We have been writing newspaper reports about a giant sighting. Izzy has worked incredibly hard to include different sentence types, openers and journalistic language. Well done Izzy!
Year 4: Congratulations to Becky who is our Year 4 learner of the week. Becky has had a fantastic week, particularly in maths. She has worked really hard each day to complete our ‘Greater Depth’ challenge and has solved some really tricky problems!
Year 5: Abi is our learner of the week. She has been working so hard on her maths in school and out of school too. In lessons, she always challenges herself to reach the 'greater depth' tasks. At home, she is making excellent use of Mathletics. This week Abi scored over 6,000 points! Keep this up. Well done!
Year 6: Sophia is our learner of the week. The children have been analysing sentence openers and using thesauruses in class to extend their vocabulary. Sophia wrote some superb sentences applying what she had learnt. Well done Sophia!
Reception: This week we found it very difficult to choose a learner of the week so we choose the whole of Jungle Class. The class has worked with lots of different teachers this week and all the teachers have said how fantastic they have been. They did another brilliant class assembly and showed off their writing, singing, football and art skills. Well done Jungle Class
Year 1: Our learner of the week is Sebbie. Sebbie has had a fantastic week in class and outside during breaktimes and lunchtimes. Well done Sebbie and keep it up!
Year 2: Our learner of the week is Tom B. I have been really impressed with the work Tom has completed in our Numeracy lessons this week. He has worked really hard! Well done Tom!
Year 3: Our Year 3 learner of the week is Darcey. Darcey has had a fantastic week in literacy. She has worked really hard to include all of the things which we have been learning about. Keep it up!
Year 4: Our Year 4 learner of the week is Lucas. Despite just getting back from holiday, Lucas came straight in got on with his work. He even had to do some extra work with Ms Sellick and he got on like he had never been away!
Year 5: Henry is our learner of the week. In Literacy today, the children were using a thesaurus to improve their vocabulary and then using this to generate their first draft of their sentences, in preparation for their chronological reports. Henry thought very carefully about his sentence openers and structures. The quality of his writing was superb and very impressive! I can't wait for the final piece to come together next week.
Year 6: Harvey has completed some excellent work in our Numeracy lessons this week. He showed an excellent understanding of adding and subtracting proper and improper fractions. Well done Harvey. This was some tricky maths!
Reception: Our learner of the week is Amelie. She has been working so hard in maths and her work has been amazing. Amelie has shown she can add and subtract using not only objects but also a number line. She even went home drew her own number line and used it to solve some additions she had thought of. Well done Amelie, keep up the fantastic work.
Year 1: Verity is our learner of the week. Verity has had a super week in class, working really hard in everything she has been asked to do. Well done Verity!
Year 2: Our learner of the week is Olivia. She can be relied upon to always try her best and has produced some work of excellent quality this week. Keep it up, Olivia!
Year 3: This week our learner of the week is Georgia. She has shown an incredibly positive attitude towards her assessments this week. She worked really hard and had a smile throughout! Well done Georgia.
Year 4: Congratulations to Tom who has been chosen as learner of the week. Whilst playing 'Bucket Ball', he was an excellent team player. He supported others and made sure that all children were included in the game fairly. Well done Tom!
Year 5: Rupert is our learner of the week. He has been coming into school independently and positively. This is a huge improvement! Well done Rupert.
