Reception: Our learners of the week are Jungle Class!! The whole of Jungle Class have had an amazing first half term at school and we are all so proud of them. They have settled in so well and are beautifully behaved and join in during whole school worship and celebration assembly. Well done all of you!
Year 1: Our learner of the week is Bella. Bella is focussed and on task in lessons, achieving her very best. She has been unfazed by the changes over the last couple of weeks. Well done Bella.
Year 2: Our learner of the week is Annie. Annie has coped really well with all of the changes in Woodland class over the last two weeks. We have been really impressed Annie. Well done.
Year 3: Our Year 3 learner of the week is Zack. Zack has worked really hard this week to complete all of the work which he has been asked to do. He has done this in a range of subjects and produced some great work. Well done Zack!
Our Year 4 learner of the week is Sebbie. I was so impressed with Sebbie during our art day yesterday. He was given the option of completing the tasks on his laptop but instead chose to challenge himself and complete them by hand. Well done Seb!
Our other Year 4 learner of the week is Jenson. Jenson had a fantastic day during out art day yesterday. He worked hard on all of the tasks and did so sensibly. Well done Jenson; you set an excellent example to the others!
Year 5: Our learner of the week is Hollie. Hollie has had a great first half term in Desert class. She has challenged herself in her learning and produced some fantastic pieces of work. Keep this up. Well done Hollie!
Year 6: Our learner of the week is Eve. Eve has really matured as a Year 6. She is much more focussed in lessons and is taking much more care with her work. You have made a brilliant start to Year 6 Eve - well done and keep going!
Reception: This week our learner of the week is Lily. She has really grown in confidence over the last few weeks. She has become especially good at communicating with her friends during play and joining in with lots more games! Well done Lily for your increasing Have a Go attitude.
Year 1: Our learner of the week is Poppy. In Literacy, she wrote an excellent sentence using adjectives, capital letters and full stops. Well done Poppy! You achieved the high expectations set for Year 1.
Year 2: Our learner of the week is Samuel. Samuel has a very good attitude towards his learning. This week he has particularly shone in our phonics sessions and with his spellings. We have really noticed Samuel concentrating well. Well done!
Year 3: Our Year 3 learner of the week is Barnaby. Barnaby has had some fantastic ideas during literacy this week. He has tried hard to use all of the things on his learning ladder and has included some fantastic vocabulary within his work. Well done Barnaby!
Year 4: Our Year 4 learner of the week is Aksharan. Aksharan constantly shows that he is a Persevering Parrot during maths lessons. He always tries his hardest - working his way up the learning ladder and completing the challenges. Well done Aksharan!
Year 5: Olivia F is our learner of the week. She has such a great attitude towards her learning and is always so focussed in lessons. Well done Olivia. You are rising to the challenges and high expectations of being in Year 5!
Year 6: Our learner of the week is Thomas. Thomas has been working incredibly hard this week with Mrs Moseley. Mrs Moseley has been really impressed with Thomas's speech this week and the clear sounds that he has been producing. Well done Thomas!
Reception: Our Learner of the week is Ryan. He has worked really hard on learning his letter sounds. During a 'hunt the sound' game he was able to recognise and say all the sounds he was shown. He was then able to lead his group to find and write the sounds. Well done Ryan, fantastic learning this week.
Year 1: This week Charlie is our learner of the week. Charlie has been an absolute star this week! He comes in in the morning with a smile on his face and then completes all of his spellings. He is also listening carefully on the carpet. Keep up the hard work!
Year 2: Our learner of the week is Samuel. Your independent writing this week has been amazing! You are thinking carefully about what to write as well as remembering finger spaces and punctuation. Well done Samuel!
Year 3: Our Year 3 learner of the week is George. Since joining Year 3, I have been really impressed with George’s ‘Have a Go Gorilla’ attitude. In all subjects, George tries hard and gives everything a go meaning he has produced some excellent work. Well done George!
Year 4: Our Year 4 learner of the week is Verity. Verity has shown excellent qualities of a ‘Persevering Parrot’ over the past few weeks. She is trying her best in all subjects and always tries her best even if something is a bit tricky. Well done Verity!
Year 5: Sydney and Matilda are both our learners of the week. They have been great 'Have a GO' gorillas this week in our Numeracy lessons. Both, Sydney and Matilda, have completed lots of fantastic calculations, using formal column methods for addition and subtraction. Brilliant maths girls! Well done to you both.
Year 6: Ruby is our learner of the week. Her final draft of her diary entry for the Incredible Book-Eating Boy was superb. She really captured the tone of the writing and produced a really engaging piece. Great writing Ruby! Well done.
Reception: Grace is our Learner of the Week. She has had a fantastic week! She has been listening well, joining in and sharing lots of her ideas. She has also been a very good learning buddy and has helped her friends with their learning too. Well done Grace!
Year 1: This week Isabella is our learner of the week. Isabella has settled into the routines of Woodland Class and is willing to 'have a go' at every activity she is given. Keep up the hard work Isabella!
Year 2: Our learner of the week is Rosie. You have demonstrated great perseverance in Maths this week. At the beginning of the week you were finding partitioning particularly tricky but now you are an expert! Well done Rosie!
Year 3: Our Year 3 learner of the week is Harvey-Jo. He has worked incredibly hard this week particularly during maths. Harvey-Jo loves a challenge and really enjoys working his way up the learning ladder. Well done!
Year 4: Our Year 4 learner of the week is Daisy. I have been really impressed with Daisy’s maths work over the past few weeks. Daisy is really challenging herself during maths lessons and is able to do so without support. Well done Daisy!
Year 5: Raife is our learner of the week. He has been a 'Busy Bee' this week in our Numeracy lessons. Raife has been focussed in lessons and is starting to produce more work in the time given. You have had a mature attitude this week towards your learning. Well done Raife!
Year 6: Our learner of the week is Neve. Neve has been a 'Curious Cat' this week in our Literacy lessons. She has thought incredibly carefully when editing her first draft and really making it the best she can. Neve has used a variety of punctuation including a colon to separate two independent clauses. Super writing Neve!
