This week our learner of the week is Jacob. Jacob has worked very hard this week especially with his letters and sounds. He has tried his best and finished his work even when it has been quite tough! Well done Jacob.
Year 1: This week Eli is our learner of the week. Eli has worked incredibly hard to improve her writing. As a result she is now independently writing sentences, remembering her capital letters and full stops. Well done Eli!
Year 2: Our learner of the week is Adam. It has not gone unnoticed how hard you have been working. In Maths, you have shown great determination when multiplying and dividing. In Literacy, you have thought carefully about your spelling, punctuation and handwriting. Keep up the hard work Adam!
Year 3: Our Year 3 learner of the week is Daisy. Daisy has worked really hard during our literacy lessons this week. She has been incredibly focused on the task when writing her twisted fairytale. Daisy has thought carefully about her writing and produced a fantastic piece of work. Well done Daisy!
Year 4: Our Year 4 learner of the week is Bobbie. Bobbie has shown real determination this week in literacy when writing his own twisted fairytale. Bobbie has spent all of our lessons completely focused on his task and determined to include everything on his features checklist. Well done Bobbie!
Year 5: Eve is our learner of the week. Eve showed good knowledge of fractions when completing some revision questions earlier in the week. She was able to convert fractions using her times tables. Great maths Eve!
Year 6: Our learner of the week is Tabatha. I have been impressed with Tabatha’s focus during our revision sessions this week. Well done Tabatha! Keep this up, especially next week.
Jungle: Our learner of the week this week is Mollie. Mollie has really impressed us with her attitude towards her learning. She has tried her best with everything she has done, especially her maths work. Well done Mollie!
Year 3: Our Year 3 learner of the week is Sebbie. I have been really impressed with Sebbie this week. He has come to school this week with a really positive attitude towards his work and has been ensuring that he has made sensible choices throughout the day. Well done Seb!
Year 4: Our Year 4 learners of the week are Myles and Joshy. Both boys have worked incredibly hard in maths this week. They have both shown real perseverance whilst working with measures and have challenged themselves to work their way up the learning ladder. I have been really impressed with you both, well done!
Year 5: Olivia is our learner of the week. She has really impressed me in class recently; her maths knowledge is fantastic and in her writing, she is including so many of the features from the SPaG curriculum. Well done Olivia! Keep up the good work.
Year 6: Our learner of the week is Calum. Calum has shown good perseverance in our Numeracy lessons this week with our algebra work. Well done!
Reception:This week our learner of the week is Isabella. Isabella has been working very hard this week doing some super adding work. Even when she found an adding task tricky she perservered to not only complete the task, but to get all the questions correct. Well done Isabella.
Year 1: This week Seth is our learner of the week. I have been very impressed with Seth's determination to improve his writing. Well done Seth!
Year 2: Our learner of the week is Jack. You have demonstrated great determination and perseverance in Maths, especially the Maths Challenges. Well done Jack!
Our Year 3 learner of the week is Libby. Libby only joined us a fortnight ago and has already settled in really well. She sets an excellent example with her behaviour and tries really hard in all areas of her learning. Well done Libby, we are thrilled to have you as a member of Ocean Class.
Our Year 4 learner of the week is Joshua. Joshua has worked so hard to improve the presentation of his work recently and his hardwork has certainly paid off. He is joining his handwriting and making sure that his letters are correctly formed. Well done Joshua!
Year 5: Alfie is our learner of the week. He has worked really hard in our Literacy lessons this week and has written a great persuasive speech, convincing his audience to support Julia’s House. Well done Alfie!
Year 6: Our learner of the week is Lucas. Lucas has worked really hard in Numeracy this week, focussing well in our lessons and working up the learning ladder quickly. You have been a whizz at statistics this week, especially using timetables. Well done!
Reception: Well done Pippa, you are the Learner of the Week this week. When working with Mrs Whitehouse-Sharpe this morning, you were able to find the biggest and smallest number from a random set of digit cards and find the missing numbers in-between. It was lovely to observe! Well done!
Year 1: This week Annie is our learner of the week. I have been so impressed with Annie's 'have a go' attitude this week. When she has found tasks difficult, she has persevered and completed them. Well done Annie!
Year 2: Our learner of the week is Charlie. I have been very impressed with Charlie's attitude towards his learning. When solving problems using fractions, he showed great perseverance and completed the task. During our independent writing this morning, he carefully though about what he needed to include. Keep up the hard work Charlie!
Year 3: Our Year 3 learner of the week is Toby. Toby has been working really hard over the last couple of weeks on his concentration. I have been particularly impressed with Toby this morning; he has tried hard to earn his focus points and has produced some excellent work! Keep it up!
Year 4: Our Year 4 learner of the week is Raife. This week we have been learning about decimals which is something that is quite tricky. Despite this, Raife has tried really hard and is always keen to work his way up the learning ladder. Well done Raife!
Year 5: We have two learners of the week: Albie and Thomas.
Albie showed great perseverance in our computing lesson; he was determined to complete the task using a program called Flowol 2 - an older version of this software and therefore trickier to use! Well done Albie!
Thomas is also our learner of the week. We have been really impressed with Thomas’s speech this week. He is recognising the letters that make sounds and has been using them independently.
Year 6: Tom is our learner of the week. He worked hard in our Science lesson this week, checking his features checklist to ensure he included lots of aspects from this in his writing. Well done Tom - you were focussed and really tried hard to write a good first draft.
