Our Learner of the week is Meme. Meme has worked very hard this week especially with his letter sounds. He has shown real dedication and hard work. He now knows all the sounds we have been learning and tries very hard when we practice them. Well done, you have had a fantastic week.
This week our learner of the week is Pippa. I have been really impressed with Pippa's listening skills especially in our phonics sessions. She has been a superstar using her sounds to read words as well as spell them. Well done Pippa.
Our Year 2 learner of the week is Verity. We have been impressed with your positive and mature attitude towards your learning this week. You are listening carefully and trying your best in all your work. Well done!
Our Year 3 learner of the week is Joshua. He has worked so hard in maths this week. He has listened, concentrated and managed to work his way up the learning ladder. Well done Joshua!
Our Year 4 learner of the week is Isabelle. Isabelle is always so helpful around the classroom and is very kind towards others. This has been particularly noticeable this week as she has been really kind towards a new member of Ocean Class.
Our learner of the week is Lucas. Lucas is a really enthusiastic learner who is making real progress with all areas, but in particular, in science. Lucas is always polite and helpful and he is a valued member of Desert Class.
Our learner of the week is Lily. Lily is a really positive influence in Year 6 and is always fun to teach. The effort Lily makes, even with challenging subjects, is outsanding. She is bubbly and helpful girl who will always help others.
Our learner of the week is Meg. Meg has progressed so well in all areas of learning, especially her reading. She has also shown herself to be a very enthusiastic and kind friend. She helps others to join in with her games and makes sure everyone is happy. Well done Meg!
Year 1: This week our learner of the week is Adam. I was very impressed with his patience and concentration when making his 'Robot' this morning. Well done!
Year 2: Our year 2 learner of the week is Erin. I have been very impressed with your work across all areas of the curriculum this week. You have been an absolute superstar!
Year 3: This week our year 3 learner of the week is Livi. I have been so impressed with Livi's attitude towards her work this week. I was particularly impressed with her amazing letter to apply for the job of an Elf!
Year 4: This week our year 4 learner of the week is Scarlet. It has been Scarlet's first week at Shillingstone this week and she has settled in brilliantly. Well done Scarlet!
Year 5: Our learner of the week is Georgina. Georgina is an enthusiastic learner who is making real progress with feeling able to take risks when she is trying new learning. Georgina is working well at friendship tasks and is increasingly able to discuss and resolve friendship questions.
Year 6: Our learner of the week is Henry. Henry is a really bubbly influence in Year 6 and an excellent role model for younger children as well as his peers. Henry is a really positive person and will happily take on challenging independent work.
Year 1: This week our learner of the week is Susie as she has shown super listening skills this week. Susie is listening carefully to instructions so that she knows exactly what is expected of her. As a result, she has produced some great pieces of work this week. Well done Susie!
Year 2:Our Year 2 learner of the week is Ryan, or should I say ‘Singer of the week’. Your singing this week during our nativity practises has been absolutely brilliant! Well done!
Year 3: Our Year 3 learner of the week is Sydney. Sydney always works incredibly hard and puts effort into everything she does. This week, it has been lovely to see her confidence grow; she has been sharing her ideas with others and putting her hand up during class discussions. Well done Sydney!
Our Year 4 learner of the week is Ryan. Ryan has worked really hard in maths this week. He has been working independently on the tasks set and has produced an excellent amount of work. Well done Ryan!
Our learner of the week is Tabatha. She is an enthusiastic learner who is making real progress with staying on task in lessons. Tabatha is working well at friendship tasks and is a wonderful help in the classroom!
