Learners of the Week

Jungle

Reception: Congratulations Jacob, you are our Learner of the week this week.  You are brilliant at working in a team or a group and you are always very kind to the other children in your group.  Well done - A brilliant team member!

Woodland

Year 1: This week Rosie is our learner of the week. Rosie has shown great perseverance with her WOW write this morning. Not only did she finish her story, she then read through her work to make sure she had remembered all her full stops. Well done Rosie!

Year 2: Our learner of the week is Jai. What an amazing story you wrote this morning about The 3 Little Pigs. When you found things difficult, you didn't give up. Well done Jai!

Ocean

Year 3: Our Year 3 learner of the week is Jenson. Jenson has worked incredibly hard this week on his handwriting. He has persevered to make sure that it is always neat and joined correctly and made his way up towards the moon on our handwriting display. Well done Jenson!

Year 4: Our Year 4 learner of the week is Sam. I was so impressed with Sam during our PE lesson this week where the children had to create their own games. His teamwork skills were fantastic! Sam listened carefully to others and making sure the whole team were included. Well done Sam!

Desert

Year 5: Thomas is our learner of the week. He was set a sequencing task using Mathletics and really had to persevere to complete the task. Well done Thomas.

Year 6: Our learner of the week is Eddie. In our maths lesson this week, a Year 6 child had one of their calculations marked green as they had made an error. Eddie was walking past and looked through this child’s calculation with them to work out where the error had been made. This was great teamwork. Well done Eddie.

Jungle

Well done to Kaeshiyann for being our learner of the week. Kaeshiyann has been working very hard to learn all of the actions that go with the sounds we have been practising. This has meant he has been able to help the class to beat their last speed sound challenge score! Great team work! Well done Kaeshiyann.

Woodland

Year 1: Our Year 1 learner of the week is Samuel. Samuel has shown great perseverance with his work in our phonics sessions this week. When he has found the words difficult he has not given up. Well done Samuel!

Year 2: Our Year 2 learner of the week is Molly. I can always rely on Molly to try her best and never give up, even when the task is challenging. Well done Molly!

Ocean

Year 3: Our Year 3 learner of the week is Gracie. Gracie has shown a huge amount of perseverance this week in maths. We have been working with fractions and Gracie has worked incredibly hard to develop her understanding of this tricky subject. She has persevered to work her way up the learning ladder. Well done Gracie!

Year 4: Our Year 4 learner of the week is Joshy. Joshy has been chosen due to his fantastic teamwork skills! He has shown this during lots of different lessons and subjects. Joshy always makes sure that all members of his team are listened to and that everyone is included in the task. Well done!

Desert

Year 5: Our learner of the week is Albie. Albie made a successful thaumatrope (moving Victorian toy) today during our Victorian day. He then was willing to assist others and provide advice when they had a go at this task. You showed good teamwork Albie. Well done.

Year 6: Becky is our learner of the week. She was very skilful at needlework today (another Victorian task) and willingly supported other children when they were finding it tricky. Well done Becky for demonstrating great teamwork.

Year 1: Our year 1 learner of the week is Elinor. Elinor has shown great perseverance in tackling her activities this week. Even when they were a little challenging, she kept on trying. Well done!

Year 2: Our year 2 learner of the week is Charlie. During our Quest activities, Charlie challenged himself by choosing a difficult activity to complete and showed great perseverance whilst doing so. 

Ocean 

Year 3: Our Year 3 learner of the week is Toby. I was so impressed with Toby’s determination and perseverance this week in gymnastics. The children were creating sequences using balances. Toby worked incredibly hard to develop a range of balances including some tricky ones! Well done Toby!

Year 4: Our Year 4 learner of the week is Myles. He has been working incredibly hard in maths this term. He always challenges himself and perseveres with things if he finds them difficult. Myles works extremely hard to climb the learning ladder. Well done!

Desert 

Year 5: Neve is our learner of the week. She produced some excellent maths work at the beginning of the week on negative numbers, working up her learning ladder and succeeding in completing her greater depth challenges. In subsequent lessons, the year 5s used their skills learnt and applied them to word problems. This was challenging but Neve persevered. Well done Neve! Your hard work paid off.

Year 6: Our learner of the week is Tabatha. In our Literacy lesson on Wednesday, she wrote a great piece of dialogue with excellent complex punctuation, including brackets and dashes for parenthesis. Well done Tabatha! This was a piece of writing to be proud of. Keep it up.

Woodland Class

Year 1: This week Harley is our learner of the week. Harley has worked hard to improve his writing with great perseverence and determinatrion. He should be very proud of what he has achieved. Well done!

Year 2: Our learner of the week is Ned. I can always rely on Ned to try his best and persevere, even when the task is challenging. He approaches all aspects of school life with enthusiasm and is always keen to improve his work. Well done!

Ocean Class

Year 3: Our Year 3 learner of the week is Sebbie. I have been so impressed with his positive attitude over the last few days. He has tried incredibly hard with his work, persevering if he found it tricky. He has also been doing more work than he has been asked to do on his task card. Well done!

Year 4: Our Year 4 learner of the week is Raife. Year 4 have been learning about symmetry in maths this week and some of them have found it quite tricky. I have been really impressed with Raife’s perseverance and determination. Well done Raife!  

Desert Class

Year 5: Darcey is our learner of the week. She missed the WOW Talk planning session yesterday so had to work extra hard today on her WOW Write. Well done Darcey - you showed great resilience today.

Year 6: Our learner of the week is Georgina. Georgina has shown great perseverance this week when improving and writing her final draft of her WOW Write about Oliver Twist. This has been an extended project for Year 6 but very worthwhile. Well done Georgina - an excellent piece of writing produced!
