When you walk through the door of Shillingstone School you will know immediately that this is a caring and inclusive school where everybody feels welcome.
With strong staff parent partnerships and a varied and engaging curriculum, children are motivated to achieve their full potential.
When pupils leave the school, it is with happy memories of their primary education and an enthusiasm for future learning.
The children have been very busy taking part in recent sporting events. Firstly, eight boys from Desert Class took part in a cricket competition in Shillingstone. They played brilliantly and only lost one match meaning that they finished fifth out of fourteen. Well done boys!
Lots of the children in key stage two took part in the recent athletics competition at Sturminster Newton High School. All of the children competed well with some of them getting through to the finals. It was a brilliant evening which all of the children enjoyed. A special mention to the Year 5 boys relay time and Eddie who came first in their event.
Our swimming team did a fantastic job at the recent swimarathon! They swam 55 laps which was 110 lengths and raised over £200 - well done!
The votes were counted earlier in the week revealing that Henry, Year 3, had been chosen to be our Prime Minster for the Day!
Henry had chosen for the children (and staff!) to have a comfy day, coming to school in their pyjamas. The children were also allowed to bring in their own toys and electronic games which they played with during their extended golden time. The most exciting part of the day was the lunch disco which was held in our Atrium.
Well done Henry, we all agree you were a fantastic Prime Minister!
